Davis Legal Center Working with the Catholic Legal Immigration Network
Davis Legal Center attorney, Emil Dixon, has agreed to accept pro bono immigration cases through the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC), Board of Immigration Appeals Pro Bono Project.
The BIA Pro Bono Appeals Project matches vulnerable, indigent immigrants with pro bono counsel to represent them before the Board of Immigration Appeals. Many indigent immigrants do not have access to justice, and are subsequently subject to deportation and denied petitions, because they cannot afford competent legal counsel. The BIA Pro Bono Appeals Project identifies these immigrants and helps them secure counsel at no cost. Since its inception in 2001, the project has reviewed more than 7,200 appeals cases.
Mr. Dixon is proud to partner with the project in an effort to extend his immigration expertise to deserving immigrants.
